Floor Cleaning Tips
A question I get asked most often is a simple way to keep one’s floors clean. The problem arises when the type of floors changes for each household and NO, they do not change based on houses for rent or houses for sale. Today let us discuss the ways to clean different types of floorings.
• Hardwood floor: Simply mix ¼ cup of mild or pH-neutral soap with water in a bucket, then damp-mop using a dry microfiber cloth to wipe up any excess moisture.
• Vinyl Floor: Gently mix 1/4 cup vinegar in a 16-ounce spray bottle with 1 drop of dish soap and warm water. Spray the floor one section at a time and wipe with a damp microfiber mop as you go.
• Bamboo floor: It is the sturdiest of all types. Simply mix ¼ cup of mild or pH-neutral soap with water in a bucket, then damp-mop using a dry microfiber cloth to wipe up any excess moisture.
• Natural Stone Flooring: Even a small amount of the acidic liquid could damage stone floors, as could bleach and ammonia, so simply mop with a microfiber mop and hot water. For stubborn dirt, use a steam cleaner.
• Tile Flooring: Gently mix 1/4 cup vinegar in a 16-ounce spray bottle with 1 drop of dish soap and warm water. Spray the floor one section at a time and wipe with a damp microfiber mop as you go
