The Needed Privacy
Allow me the privilege, to be honest with my readers. I had a sister who is 11 years older than me and we grew up in a house for rent with just 2-bedrooms, my parents had one and my sister and I shared the other. By the time I reached teenage my sis had already migrated to Bangalore for her higher studies and then her job and found herself settled over there. I technically grew up with a room all to myself and whatever privileges that came with it I had never consciously thought of it. I would often hear my friends exclaim how lucky I was.
Looking back now, I realize the advantageous position I was in and truth be told I have indeed taken full advantage of my privacy. Have I done things that my parents would otherwise frown upon? most definitely yes. When my cousins and friends whose kids are nearing that age ask me for advice, I tell them with much sincerity in my heart, to indeed give the kids their much-needed privacy and as a fair example, I state myself. Look at me; I turned out well didn’t I
