Very recently during one of our school gatherings, a very heated argument erupted on the topic of vastu. For those who are not aware of Vastu is the study of the science of a home and there are many sceptics. My friend told me the actual scientific reason of how sleeping in a particular direction can actually be bad for us. The earth has a magnetic moment around it and that is why we have a North Pole and a South Pole. Our brains produce tiny amounts of magnetic waves due to the electric signal discharges that are happening in the nerve synapses of the brain. When we align our heads in a direction that is opposing this natural flow of the magnetic waves of the earth it would cause as to have slight discomfort. The longer we sleep in that same position this discomfort increases. The Irregular Plot

Everyone wishes to have a square plot for their dream home. Some are willing to sacrifice on rectangular plots but beyond these two shapes, the citizens of God's own country cannot tolerate any other boundary shape. If truth be told I too found a lot of logical reasons why someone would prefer a regular shaped plot. But very recently I had a chance to visit a rather irregular shaped house. Don't let your thoughts run wild it is still categorized in the polygonal sector and has a shape similar to two rectangles placed 90 degrees to each other on the left-hand side. Very similar to an L-shaped figure. And this house has been constructed very beautifully and the architect had made cent per cent use of this irregularity when it came to the arrangement of the rooms. Even the interior of this household has been extremely magnificently done. I truly wish more houses for sale in Kerala start denouncing their craving for regular shaped projects and try more unique designs.

The Picture Collage Trend

On a personal note, a very impressive interior design trend that has not yet reached the shows of the capital city of God's own country, Trivandrum is the idea of photo collages in your bedroom. Having worked in the interior design field I have noticed that it is the youngsters that prefer this trend and by youngsters, I refer to the early thirties were digital cameras and images where only upcoming and hard copy photos were still treasured. Therefore it is this crowd that I have seen that fully makes use of this trend.   There are several homes that I have been to where I have felt that a photo collage would have been extremely ideal. Not to mention, it is a very inexpensive way to give that classy feel to your home. I would preach all my readers irrespective of your age group to try to incorporate one in your own home. In fact, I want this to be the new real estate news in Kerala.
